 About the Council

Establishment of the Council

The Council on Chiropractic Education Australasia Inc (the Council) was incorporated in South Australia on 27 February 2002.  The Council was formed to encompass the activities of two separate organisations within Australia, namely the Australasian Council on Chiropractic Education (ACCE) and the Joint Education Committee of Participating Registration Boards (JEC).  The Council recognises the tireless efforts of both the aforementioned organisations and looks forward to continuing the high standards achieved.

Functions of the Council

The main functions of the Council are:

  • to undertake accreditations of Australasian Chiropractic Programs;

  • to assess overseas chiropractic qualifications for migration and work visas;

  • to undertake competency assessments of chiropractors to ensure they are safe and competent to practise in Australia and New Zealand.
