All chiropractors, including Australian and New Zealand residents, who trained outside of Australia or New Zealand, are required to successfully complete the Council's two-step Evaluation Process before seeking registration.   The Chiropractic Board of Australia  requires persons who trained outside of Australia or New Zealand to successfully complete the CCEA Evaluation Process before seeking registration in Australia.

Candidates should be aware that successful completion of the CCEA Evaluation Process does not however guarantee automatic registration.  Successful candidates may be required to fulfill additional requirements placed on them by The Chiropractic Board of Australia.

A comprehensive Candidate Guide is available for download in PDF format by following the link at the end of this sectionCandidates are advised to read this Guide so they are aware of the complete process and requirements before applying.

The CCEA Competency Evaluation consists of the following Stages:

bullet

Stage 1 - Desktop Audit; and

bullet

Stage 2 - Competency Based Assessment.

Please note:

It is an offence liable to prosecution for a person to practise chiropractic, or hold themselves out to be a chiropractor, while not registered.  Penalties differ between jurisdictions with the maximum penalty being $75,000.00.

Australian and New Zealand residents who hold chiropractic qualifications gained from outside of Australia or New Zealand are also required to undertake this process.

Please note:   CCEA, The Chiropractic Board of Australia and AEI-NOOSR do not provide information on how to migrate or on the allocation of points under the Skilled Migration Program.  For this information, candidates need to contact the Department of Immigration and Citizenship (DIAC) or their nearest Australian Embassy, High Commission or Consulate.
