I am planning on working in Australia, what do I need to do?

If you gained your qualification outside of Australia or New Zealand you will need to successfully complete a two-step Evaluation process.  Stage 1 is a paper-based Desktop Audit and Stage 2 is a practical competency assessment.  Detailed information can be found in our "Skills Recognition" section.

Do I need to sit the Evaluation if I have sat the NBCE and/or CCEB exams?

Yes, however you may be entitled to undertake a modified assessment.

Do I need to sit the Evaluation if I am an Australian or New Zealand resident?

Only if you gained your qualification outside of Australia or New Zealand.

When are assessments held?

February, May, July and November each year. 

Can I sit the assessments outside of Australia?

No.  Practical competency assessments are only held in Sydney or Melbourne, Australia.

What is the cost of an Evaluation?

This will depend on which parts of the Evaluation you will be required to undertake.  You will be able to determine your exact cost once you have read the information contained in our "Candidate Guide".  The minimum cost for evaluation will be $2920AUD.  This cost does not include travel and accommodation, for which the candidate is responsible.

When will I get my results?

Results will be released 28 working days after assessment.

What are the English Language requirements?

What happens if I fail my assessment?

If you are unsuccessful, you will be eligible to re-sit the assessment at the next scheduled assessment.

CCEA is the entity responsible for accrediting chiropractic programs in the Australasian Region.
