Governance

CCEA is a not-for-profit company limited by guarantee and is registered with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC).

CCEA has been appointed by the Chiropractic Board of Australia and the New Zealand Chiropractic Board as the independent accrediting authority for chiropractic education. This function has been established under Australia’s National Registration and Accreditation Scheme and New Zealand’s Health Practitioners Competence Assurance Act 2003.

Constitution

The CCEA Constitution provides the framework for how the organisation operates, the powers of the board and committees, and rights and obligations of CCEA members.

Strategic Plan

CCEA regularly reviews its Strategic Plan to achieve its vision of serving to ensure a competent chiropractic workforce. The latest Strategic Plan was released in 2023 and covers the operations of CCEA until 2026.

Board and committees

CCEA has a mixed board comprising nominated and elected position holders. The composition of the CCEA Board is detailed in the CCEA Constitution.

CCEA Members

  • invited members of the chiropractic profession; Australian and New Zealand chiropractic teaching institutions; another regulated health profession; and senior independent persons in education, business or the community.
